Tofu and Garlic Oysters Recipe

This flavorful and healthy vegan take on traditional oysters. Tofu is seasoned with garlic and spices before being fried until golden brown. It's a great appetizer or main dish for any occasion when served with a squeeze of fresh lemon.

  • Cook Time: 10 minutes
  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Instructions

  • Make small cubes out of the pressed tofu.
  • Combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder in a mixing bowl.
  • Coat the tofu cubes in the flour mixture after dipping them in the plant-based milk.
  • In a pan over medium heat, melt the vegan butter and olive oil.
  • Sauté for 1-2 minutes with the minced garlic.
  • Cook the coated tofu cubes for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  • Remove the tofu from the pan and set it aside to absorb any excess oil.
  • Serve with lemon wedges and garnished with chopped parsley.
