Salmon Teriyaki with Sesame Seeds and Green Onions Recipe
This delicious salmon teriyaki recipe will not disappoint. The savory marinade of soy sauce, mirin, and sake gives the salmon a rich umami flavor, while sesame seeds and green onions add crunch and freshness. Ideal for a weeknight meal or a special occasion.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 4 fillets of salmon
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- sesame oil, 2 tbsp
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup sake
- 2 thinly sliced green onions
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
Time Needed
- Prep Time: 40 minutes
- Cook Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 55 minutes
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sake, brown sugar, and sesame oil.
- Pour the marinade over the salmon fillets in a large resealable bag.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes after sealing the bag.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet after removing them from the marinade.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until thoroughly cooked.
- In a small mixing bowl, combine cornstarch and water.
- Bring the remaining marinade to a boil in a small saucepan.
- Reduce to a low heat and whisk in the cornstarch mixture.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish the salmon with green onions and sesame seeds and serve with teriyaki sauce.
